Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani has retained his title of being the world’s richest Indian despite an erosion of USD 4.7 billion in his wealth in the past year as he beat 47 billionaires from India in Forbes magazine’s annual list of the world’s richest people.

India ranks 105th in the world when it comes to women’s participation in politics.

As the country celebrates Women’s Day on 8th March, data on parliaments across the world reveal that India, the largest democracy, lags much behind other countries including its neighbours such as Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal when it comes to women’s participation in politics.
