Indian Hockey Team back in London Olympics 2012; Beat France by 8-1 in finals of Olymipcs Qualifiers

India “The original Hockey powerhouse of worldbeat France by 8-1 to book a place among other teams playing London Olympic games 2012. India among lacs of Tricolors flying in support crushed France by big margin of 8-2. Sandeep Singh played a vital role in Indian win in finals of London Olympics Qualifiers, he scored 5 goals for India at most appropriate place of Major Dhyan Chand National Hockey Stadium in New Delhi.

Sandeep Singh’s goals in the 19th, 26th, 37th, 49th and 51st minutes of the match ensured that he finished as the top goal-scorer of the tournament with a whopping 16 goals.  Birender Lakra opened the scoring in the 17th minute while Sunil made it 5-1 in the 43rd and VR Raghunath 8-1 in the 56th.

India had missed out on an Olympic berth in 2008 when they failed to make it through the qualifying tournament in Chile. Eight times Olympic champions are ready to re-write the history in London this summer.

Earlier in day, Indian cricket team lost to Australia in crucial one-day match in Sydney by huge margin and is hopefully out of the tournament unless a miracle happens.
