5. PSLV C17 launched successfully, putting communication satellite GSAT-12 on july 5,2011 from Sri Harikota space station.Its 18th flight of PSLV.

EGoM (Expert Group of Ministers) cleared National Food Security Bill, 75% of below BPL and 50% of Urban Population to get heavily subsidized Food-grains.Ban on Export of non-basmati rice lifetd.7kgs Food grains for every BPL beneficiary: Rice at Rs 3/Kg and Wheat @ Rs 2/kg to be given.General will get 3-4 kgs of FG at half of MSP.
7. Serum Institute of India applauded by WHO fro providing HIV vaccines at cheaper rates in Africa.
